If you have a small kitchen, you may find it difficult to find a space for everything you want to store, especially if you enjoy experimenting with recipes or whipping up a cake every now and then. We’ve put together a few of our favourite storage ideas to help you get the most out of the space you have.

Kitchen Storage

#1 – Utilise the Insides of Cupboard Doors

You may have your cupboard well organised, but what about adding even more storage space by using the inside of the door. You could attach hooks to hang utensils from, a magnetic board to stick metal storage tins to or even fix magazine folders to the insides of cupboard doors, giving you more storage space.

#2 – Extend Your Shelves with Wire Racks

If you have shelves with empty space above whatever you’re storing, you could invest in some wire racks to stack, giving you even more storage space in the storage you already have.

#3 – Use Ceiling Storage

Pots and pans can take up a lot of space in the kitchen, so why not keep them out of the way with a rack that can be affixed to the wall or hang from the ceiling. This means that they are out of the way but always close to hand.

#4 – Extend Your Fridge and Freezer Space

Just as you can extend your shelf space, you can do the same with your fridge and freezer. Plastic magazine folders can be stacked on top of one another for food storage. This means that you can keep different food items from touching, whilst creating more storage space.

#5 – Use Jars Instead of Packaging

Some plastic and cardboard packaging can be bulky and take up unnecessary space in your kitchen. Why not transfer dry ingredients to jars or plastic tubs to save on space? Just make sure to attach clear labels so you know what is in each jar and what the use by date is!
